Grey, black, and ochre shapes collide in an agitated, vertical field where hands, eyes, and creature-like forms flicker in and out of focus. Slashing diagonals, smeared textures, and small narrative fragments create a chaotic, anxious atmosphere of psychological turbulence.
This drawing recalls the gestural intensity of Abstract Expressionism, particularly de Kooning and early Pollock, while its distorted figures and symbolic fragments echo Dubuffet and Art Brut. It also nods to Picasso’s “Guernica” in its fractured, anguished, quasi-figurative drama.
