What She Brings Me

$75.00

Hand Embellished

Limited Edition of 3 on 12 x 12 inch Paper

A weathered field of ochres and blues stretches across the surface, its battered textures suggesting eroded walls and shoreline earth. Embedded in the upper band, a rotated black tablet inscribed with crisp, white linear symbols reads like a mysterious relic or signal uncovered from the landscape.

This work recalls Arte Povera and Rauschenberg’s combines in its use of distressed materials and collage-like layering. The central emblem nods to African mask motifs, Paul Klee’s pictographic symbols, and postwar Art Brut’s invented scripts, evoking an archaeology of imaginary cultures and forgotten languages.
